I recently helped build a new website for a Baltimore shoe store that specializes in large-size women’s designer shoes: BarefootTess.com.
In an effort to recoup some of the development costs–and to clear their shelves to make room for new inventory–they’re offering a deal to local shoppers this weekend.
All winter shoes will be on sale in the store through Sunday for 40% off the listed price. That’s right… even if the shoes are already marked down below cost, you can take another 40% off. This is an in-store sale.
Rather not to drive to Baltimore? You can order from the website instead. Just enter coupon code BC15 during checkout, and receive 15% off your order (no exclusions). Order over $75, and shipping is free.
BarefootTess is located at: 1421 Clarkview Road, Suite 110 (Baltimore).
I’d love to hear if anybody goes there for the sale–and what you think.
If at all possible, you really should make an effort to attend this year’s Lunar New Year Show/Asian Spring Celebration. It will feature 12 live performances and is an educational (and fun) (and affordable) family-friendly event.
WHERE: Governor Thomas Johnson High School, 1501 N. Market Street (Frederick).
WHEN: Saturday, February 16, from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
Tickets are $6 at the door (children 5 and under are free). The event organizer, Elizabeth, is a BargainChaser.com subscriber. If you call her at (301) 788-2870, you can purchase tickets ahead of time for $5.
The Career and Technology Center in Frederick County is having a fund raiser selling Great American Preferred Cards. These cards cost $10 and can be used an unlimited number of times during the year at any of the locations listed here.
If you have any questions or are interested in buying one, please email email@example.com. These make good gifts for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, and Easter.

Every Sunday and Monday, from 5pm to 2am, you can play pool at Hard Times for just $7.
No additional purchase necessary.
We stopped playing there because it can get pretty smoky; but come February (when the statewide smoking ban goes into effect), we’ll definitely start going again.
REMINDER: Pool is free at Hard Times every day from 11am to 5 pm (minimum $8 purchase per person).
